Baltos lankos is one of the largest and most innovative publishing houses in Lithuania, founded in 1992, soon after the country regained its independence. For more than 30 years, it has been nurturing publishing traditions based on high literary and artistic quality, originality, and enduring value. At the same time, Baltos lankos strives for innovation, publishing titles in various formats: from paper and electronic books to audiobooks. In 2021, the rapidly developing Baltos lankos Audio app was introduced.
Baltos lankos publishes the most important contemporary and classic fiction titles, non-fiction books, as well as YA and children’s literature. Among the foreign authors published by Baltos lankos are winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature and Nobel Peace Prize: Annie Ernaux, Kazuo Ishiguro, Nadia Murad.
The publishing house is also proud of its growing circle of Lithuanian writers. Among them are the winners of the “Book of the Year” award: Kristina Sabaliauskaitė, Antanas Šileika, Tomas Vaiseta, Mantas Adomėnas. The translations of books by these authors have also been recognized internationally.
